Her modeling career began when she was only 15 years old. Attending an open call at one of Russia's most prestigious agencies was her first step into the modeling industry. She was soon sent to Paris where she started to be known. Popularity came to her in 2002 when notable photographer Steven Meisel shot her for Italian Vogue. Shortly thereafter, Eugenia took part in Gucci ad campaign alongside her comrade, Natalia Vodianova.
